The city of Trenton, and indeed all of Grundy County is dedicated to the quality education of our children and for students who are seeking a higher education by attending North Central Missouri College, which is the second-oldest Community College in the State of Missouri.

North Central Missouri College

Trenton is home to North Central Missouri College, or NCMC. It has been rated as one of the Top-10 Community Colleges in the United States and it is also one of the oldest colleges in the State of Missouri. NCMC provides a quality education for students from all across the state at a low cost. NCMC has one of the lowest tuition rates in Missouri.

NCMC Areas of Study

Students attending North Central Missouri College can choose from many different fields of study. Three of the most-popular areas of study include Nursing, Business, and Agriculture.

Students also have the opportunity to take advantage of the 2 + 2 University Degree Program. When students complete two years of study at NCMC, they have the option of transferring to another University for an additional two years to complete a Bachelor’s Degree. This very economical option is chosen by a large number of students each year.

TRENTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Trenton High School

With over 350 students in attendance, Trenton High School offers very strong academic opportunities to prepare them for their future. Nearly 77% of all students go on to a university, college or a trade school. Trenton also has very strong extra-curricular programs and is a leading school in the performing arts in the State of Missouri.

Trenton Middle School

Trenton Middle School offers students in grades 5 – 8 a strong academic program that prepares each student to move on to high school. The Middle School has approximately 350 students and offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Each student also receives their own iPad Computer which they are able to use throughout their time in the school.

Trenton S.M. Rissler Elementary School

The Elementary School is a rural, public school serving nearly 400 students. We have forty teachers and three administrators on our staff as well as twenty-two support staff. Our attendance is over 95%, and that continues to climb. Trenton Elementary School serves students in grades K – 4. The school is also home to 125 preschool children ages 3 and 4.

GRUNDY COUNTY SCHOOLS

Grundy County R-5 Schools

Grundy County R-V School District is a public school district located in Galt, MO. It has 148 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 8 to 1.

Laredo R-7 School

Laredo R-7 School serves students K – 8. Located east of Trenton, the school is home to approximately 40 students. The motto is: Learning, Attitude, Respect,

Pleasant View School

Pleasant View School is located east of Trenton. Thirteen small rural schools made up the Pleasant View R-VI District which serves students in grades K – 8.

Spickard R-2

Spickard R-2 School is located North of Trenton. The school serves students in grades K-6 and also preschool.
